Mum and Dad’s Silver Wedding Anniversary Party – 4 September 2011

Although their silver wedding anniversary was really in July, the summer holidays forced Mum and Dad’s party to be held today. Apart from the meal after Granddad’s funeral, this was the first time that the families have met up since Harriet and Mum’s joint birthday party in 2009. Held indoors, in the beautiful Long Barn at Norden Farm, the heavy rain outside didn’t threaten to spoil the fun, as family and friends were reunited.

MEET AND GREET_The afternoon started in the bar, as guests arrived and chatted to friends and fellow family members.

Our Easter Weekend – 25 April 2011

Happy Easter, Dorothy – 24 April 2011

As our ‘honorary grandmother’, all three of us children gave Dorothy (a neighbour) her Easter gifts from the Burdetts; and she, in return, gave us some very luxurious chocolate eggs.

PRICELESS EXPRESSION_Dorothy seemed pleased with a small gift from our great aunt.

GIVING THE GIFT_Harriet passes Dorothy her Easter gift from the five of us.

THAT WAS UNEXPECTED_None of us were expecting Dorothy's generosity.
